Internship in Marketing, PR & Event-Management

Location: Punta Arenas, Region de Magallanes y Antarctica Chilena, Chile

Duration: flexible duration and year-round placing, minimum 6 months

Compensation: Partial board and lodging + 50.000$ Chilean Pesos monthly



Working in National and International Sports Marketing, PR & Event-Management at NIGSA you will be involved in the following areas:

  • International business strategy
  • International branding strategy and development
  • Concept, planning and realization of cross-media communication strategy and activities
  • Independent guidance of projects, especially in event organization

This may translate into the following more specific tasks:

  • Acquisition and negotiation of international media coverage
  • Acquisition and negotiation of international, national and regional sponsorship
  • Involvement in all media communication related to the events including the Patagonian International Marathon
  • E-marketing: Managing of web and social media pages
  • Handling sponsors, press and participants on location during the events
  • Acquisition of international journalists attending the events
  • Drafting international marketing and media plans
  • Drafting press releases, press-kits & articles, as well as coordinating international distribution
  • Drafting international business plans for new projects
  • Elaboration of advertising materials and merchandising articles
  • Managing international press/participant inquiries
  • Participating in the preparation and all logistical aspects of the events



You possess the following professional skills:

  • Student of Marketing, Sport Management or Business
  • Completed at least three years of university studies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in your native language English
  • Intermediate Spanish written and oral skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)

You have the following social and personal skills:

  • Affinity towards sports, nature, conservation and adventure
  • Outgoing, friendly and helpful attitude towards staff and clients
  • High degree of self-initiative and creativity
  • Ability to work independently and be committed to the quality of your work
    • Results-oriented
