2010: Cost & Prizes

The organizers of WENGER PATAGONIAN EXPEDITION RACE® will apply strict criteria in selecting the teams who may enter the race. Only those who have both the right spirit and the appropriate experience necessary to face the tough challenges that this long, wild and impressive route presents will be permitted to participate.

To enter the official selection process, the registration form should be sent following its instructions accordingly. The teams accepted for WENGER PATAGONIAN EXPEDITION RACE® 2010 will have to confirm their participation paying an inscription fee of either:

- € 790 (euro) for the teams that confirm before October 30th, 2009 or
- € 990 (euro) for the teams that confirm before December 30th, 2009

WENGER PATAGONIAN EXPEDITION RACE® does not award monetary prizes. The athletes who are chosen to participate will have the privilege of having participated in the longest and most impressive expedition race ever to have taken place in the history of adventure racing, in which the motivation to compete and to continue forward each day is not trying to win a monetary award, but is rather the goal of exceeding one’s own limits, of facing indomitable Nature herself, of discovering and exploring one of the most pristine and isolated regions on our planet. The racers who take part in WENGER PATAGONIAN EXPEDITION RACE® will live an experience that will stand out for the rest of their lives. The winners will have the honour of having been the best in the race that has been defined as the wildest and most beautiful in the world.

The Inscription includes
the following:

Transport from Punta Arenas to the race start location.

Transport from the finish line back to Punta Arenas.

Logistical support during the race (10 days)

Use of two sea kayaks per team during the race (Necky Amaruk)

Use of one emergency satellite telephone per team during the race.

Race maps and instructions.

Race kit.

Technical Evaluation.

An unforgettable adventure in the middle of wild nature at the end of the world.
